Hoax bomb threat at KIA, police suspect insider job

Bangalore: An email threatening to blow up the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) sent police into a tizzy on Tuesday morning. However, the threat turned out to be a hoax. Police suspect it to be the handiwork of an insider. The airport manager had received the email on the night of January 24.
"We are trying to identify the sender using the tracking system and IP address from where the message was dispatched," said DCP (northeast) TR Suresh. Another police officer said the message came to the airport's feedback service, which is an intranet facility.
