Tiruchirappalli: A 28-year old man was arrested at the airport here for allegedly attempting to smuggle one kg of gold by concealing it in his rectum.
Abubaucker of Thiruvadanai in Tamil Nadu, who arrived from Malayasia by an Air Asia flight around midnight, was subjected to a thorough check by customs officials after they grew suspicious about his movement, officials said.
