Bangalore: The case of the Air India officer who went missing while returning home on Friday night is getting intriguing with witnesses changing their statements.
A street food vendor who claimed to have seen Arun Mehta, 41, senior manager (flight operations), Air India get into his car near HAL retracted his statement and said he was not sure about it. It has also surfaced that the official was under depression.
Arun, a resident of Annasandrapalya, had left the Kempegowda International Airport in a Volvo bus around 9.22pm. He had informed his wife Anita that he would be home in an hour. Arun usually got down at HAL, from where he would pick up his car and reach home.
However, Arun never returned home and his car was found unattended near Islampura bus station, off Old Airport Road.
