Itanagar: Work on the under-construction airport at Tezu in Lohit district of Arunachal has been hastened to complete the 1.5km-long and 30 metre wide runway, terminal and air traffic control tower by 2014.
"The runway is very important from the point of view of security and we are not compromising on quality. It is expected to be completed within six months if good weather prevails," said technical in-charge of the runway, Pankaj Neog.
