Chennai: Customs officials at the Chennai airport on Wednesday seized 420 live star tortoises from six passengers who were trying to smuggle them to Bangkok.
Sources said the passengers were about to board an Air Asia Chennai-Bangkok flight when the officials, who were monitoring scanning of baggage, found something suspicious in some bags.
