Jaipur: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle 1.1 kg gold worth over Rs. 28 lakh at Sanganer international airport in Jaipur, custom officials said today.
One passenger coming by an Air India flight from Dubai had kept 700 grams gold wires in his stroll (baggage), the customs department sources said. Whereas another passenger deboarding an Air Arabia flight, had wrapped gold weighing about 491 grams in aluminium foil stitched on a quilt, they said.
