Muscat: India's national carrier, Air India, has started advising the travel agents in Oman that foreign nationals not possessing a valid Indian visa are not allowed to travel or transit on domestic sector flights within India.
"It has been observed that tickets have been issued for Bangladesh nationals for travel on routes like Muscat/Hyderabad/Kolkata/Dhaka, Muscat/Mumbai/Delhi-Kolkata/Dhaka or Muscat/Bangalore/Kolkata/Dhaka without having an Indian visa. Such passengers will be considered as inadmissible passengers at the first port of entry by Immigration authorities as per Foreigner Regional Registration Offices (FRRO) rules and will attract deportation with heavy penalties," Air India stated.
