Airhostess Suicide Case: Cops Oppose Bail Plea of Kanda

New Delhi: Delhi Police today opposed in a court here the bail plea of ex-Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, an accused in airhostess Geetika Sharma suicide case, saying he could influence the witnesses whose statements are yet to be recorded during the ongoing trial.
Additional Public prosecutor Rajiv Mohan told the court that recording of evidence in the case was yet to be completed and there was no change of circumstances from the date when the bail plea of Kanda was dismissed earlier by the Delhi High Court and as well as by trial court.
Mohan told Additional Sessions Judge Yashwant Kumar that being an influential person, there is every likelihood that the accused could influence the witnesses.
The arguments on the bail plea remained inconclusive and will resume on February 20.
