GMR lodges case against its employee

New Delhi: An assistant vice-president (AVP) of GMR group was booked for breach of trust by his own employer at the Delhi domestic airport. The case was registered last week by the Delhi police.
According to police sources, a complaint was made by the general manager, HR, GMR, Ms Suchitra Kumar, who alleged that assistant vice-president Sambhaji Padwal has broken their trust by engaging in wrong practices.
“The complaint stated that Mr Padwal, who was deputed as AVP, GMR Airport Developers, was given charge to manage the new infrastructure development at the airport. However, it was learnt that he supplied raw material for the official projects from the company owned by his relatives,” a senior police officer said, adding that, “He allegedly supplied material at inflated cost which resulted in heavy loss to the GMR group.”
