Jaipur: For those who are dependent on Delhi and Mumbai to get a connecting flight to US, UK and Europe, here is some good news. There will be a direct flight from Jaipur to Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates from April 1, which will help air travellers to get connecting flights to US and Europe.
Presently Jaipur airport has three international flights to Muscat, Dubai and Sharjah which usually run full capacity.
SN Borkar, director, Airports Authority of India (AAI), Jaipur said Etihad Airways will operate the flight between Jaipur and Abu Dhabi from April 1 onwards. "Presently they will operate only one flight. The schedule will be released soon," Borkar said. "Depending on the response, there is also a possibility that the frequency of the flight may increase. It will definitely help the passengers travelling to Europe and US who can avail this flight to get a connecting flight to these destinations," Borkar added.
