Air travellers lug heavy bags as trolleys go missing at T2

Mumbai:  Mumbai airport's new international Terminal 2 or T2 is already a week old and yet passengers continue to find it lacking even in basic amenities. Several international passengers who landed in Mumbai in the early hours of Tuesday were forced to lug their bags from the conveyor belt up to their vehicles, what with no trolleys in sight.
Worse, the trolley problem at T2 does not appear to be the kind that can be easily or quickly resolved. The most affected are passengers of wide-bodied aircraft with over 300 seats, which land in the early hours when international arrivals and departures get bunched together.
"At 4am, the last thing one wants to do is haul bags around looking for directions. Around four flights had landed then and, like me, several passengers had to do without a trolley. This is the most basic facility a terminal should provide, I prefer the old terminal," said Sanjay Katira, a frequent flyer.
