Kochi: The Kerala High Court has directed the Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner to provide police protection for the construction work of the aviation turbine fuel storage facility, which is being set up by the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) at Valiyathura near Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. The High Court issued the directive on a petition submitted by the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd seeking police protection to carry out the construction activities.
The court granted the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd to continue with the installation of machinery.
