More private aircrafts using Ahmedabad airport for parking purpose

Ahmedabad: In the last one year, the number of privately-owned aircraft using the city's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel international airport for parking has increased substantially. Besides the parking space acquired by non-scheduled aircraft operators, movement of such aircraft at the airport has also increased to 200-250 a month.
Currently, 10 non-scheduled aircraft operators have 12 planes parked at the city airport along with several choppers owned by corporate houses. These helicopters include five owned by Ahmedabad-based corporates, namely, Adani (3), Nirma (1) and Cadila (1). The 10 operators and charter companies have hired space at city airport and they renew it on a regular basis. More than 30 private aircraft make a stop at Ahmedabad airport because of its nominal charges.
