Indore: Diamonds worth Rs. 2.5 crore were seized from two Mumbai residents at the city airport on Thursday night. After investigations by the Income Tax Department, both the traders were released on Thursday night.
CISF ASI Manju adav detected the diamonds while scanning baggage of two Mumbai- bound Jet Airways passengers. She handed over the case to the Air Intelligence Unit of Income Tax Department. Interestingly, the unit was established at the airport on Thursday itself in view of imposition of Model Code.
