Nedumbassery: A passenger from Singapore was detained with four gold biscuits by the air intelligence unit of the Customs Department at the airport here on Thursday. Just 10 hours after the seizure of liquid gold at 1 am on Thursday, the air intelligence unit recovered four gold biscuits weighing 400 grams each from the passenger who came by an Air Asia flight from Singapore.
The passenger has been identified as Vattaparambil Kunhimoideen from Malappuram, who went on a short trip to the South East. According to the Customs officials, the biscuits were concealed in the sole of the shoes he was wearing, two each in a sole.The value of the gold would come around `12 lakh, the officials said.
