Gold worth Rs 93 lakh seized from Mangalore airport

Mangalore: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials at Mangalore International airport seized more than three kilograms of gold from two passengers who arrived at the airport by Air India express 818 from Abu Dhabi via Muscat on Sunday at 7pm.
The seizure was 3,206 grams of gold valued at Rs 93.63 lakh. The contraband was seized from passengers Abdul Nisar Abdul Khader (33) of Kumble, Kasargod who was travelling along with his cousin Khadeejathul Fouziya (30). The woman passenger was accompanied by her five year old girl kid . They were arrested on Monday and produced before the court.
