Margao: Independent MLA Vijai Sardesai on Thursday ridiculed assertions made by Trinamool Congress South Goa candidate Churchill Alemao during the Goans For Dabolim Only (GFDO) meeting that he was always opposing Mopa airport.
"After being in power and sleeping over the issue for 5 long years and after having done nothing in spite of being a senior minister, how does he intend to stop Mopa by fighting all alone in the parliament, when he could not do anything when he was part of the ruling government in Goa? asked Sardesai.
