Surat: A group of diamond barons along with a real estate developer have got together to launch state's first full-fledged air taxi service from the Diamond City in the first week of June.
A company named Diamond Aeronautics Limited (DAL) has been floated by the leading Diamond Trading Company (DTC) sightholders Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), Harekrishna Exports and Dharmanandan Diamonds along with a real estate developer Avadh-Anjani group.
An executive from one of the DTC sightholder companies said, "We plan to start operations with five Cessna aircrafts and two choppers. All major destinations across the state will be covered by the air taxi service including Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Rajkot, Porbandar, Bhuj, Mumbai and even Jaipur."
