Airports Authority of India to provide free Wi-Fi access at Trivandrum Airport

Thiruvananthapuram:  Free Wi-Fi facility will soon be available at the Trivandrum International Airport (TIA), a senior airport official said here on Thursday.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) decided to provide free Wi-Fi access after its earlier attempt to provide it on a commercial basis did not yield the desired result, airport director V N Chandran said.
In a survey conducted for the first quarter of 2014, the TIA was adjudged the best AAI-run international airport in country. The Airports Council International (ACI), in collaboration with AAI, conducted the Airport Service Quality (ASQ), in which TIA scored 4.26.
"The award inspires us to perform better. But there are some issues, such as providing free internet access, that need to be addressed. The AAI has decided to provide passengers with Wi-Fi facilities immediately at its cost," Chandran said.
