Kochi: In yet another gold haul, the Air Intelligence Unit of the air customs officers at the Cochin International Airport seized 478.2 gms of gold worth `14,39,382 from a passenger who arrived from Dubai by an Indigo flight on Sunday.
The passenger, Mohammed Arshad,32, Adkathbail, Kasargod arrived from Dubai by Indigo flight 6E-968 at 3 am .
According to Abilash K Sreenivasan, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, the passenger tried to pass through the green channel hurriedly but was intercepted at the exit gate.
