Dubai airport show to feature 30 innovations

Dubai: Airport executives will gather in Dubai this week for the 14th edition of the Airport Show held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 11 to 13.
Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, is expected to open the business-to-business (B2B) regional industry event, according to organisers, where 30 new technologies will be unveiled.
Airports in the Middle East are increasingly coming under focus following the emergence of the three big Gulf airlines; Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways over the past three decades.
The three Gulf airlines are some of the largest in the world and carry millions of passengers through their geographically strategic hubs in the Arabian Gulf in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha. However, traffic above the Gulf airports is becoming increasingly congested.
