Toll, KIA User Fee Ground Flyers' Expectations

Bangalore: With the hike in toll fees and the expected increase in user development fees at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), frequent users are increasingly becoming disillusioned with what was once promised to be an amazing experience for those tired of using the cramped HAL airport.
If visitors to the airport find themselves at the mercy of the toll collectors today, it is because no one thought of establishing an alternative route to the airport all these years.
Today, KIA users have to shell out more money for a round trip to the airport than most major cities in the south, all of which have two approach ways, while KIA has only one.
Another existing road cannot be used as it is a part of the airports’ master plan to set up a second runway there with a terminal and assorted facilities.
