‘KIA Firefighting Ability Meets Global Norms’

Bangalore: The Kempegowda International Airport is well equipped to deal with fire incidents within the crucial 136- second window, said Head of Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), Ajith Kumar P S.

He was speaking at the inaugural session of the first (Two-day) ARFF conference in India to be held by the International Aviation Fire Protection Association and the Indian Aviation Fire Safety Specialist Group.

Hari Marar, president, KIAL,  said there were a lot of challenges ahead for aviation safety as the Centre’s decision to allow foreign direct investment in the sector would bring in more players.
