Mock security drill held at Hyderabad airport

Hyderabad:  With regular intelligence alerts of a possible terror attack, a mock drill was conducted to check preparedness of security agencies at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Thursday.
RGI Airport officials said personnel from the Cyberabad police, fire services department, CISF and other wings were involved in the drill to check coordination between various agencies during a crisis.
Thursday's drill, which was conducted near Haj Terminal, was on a small scale without involvement of any passengers. "Observers from Intelligence Bureau, CISF, police, BCAS and airlines monitored the exercise. Overall security measures at RGIA were found to be satisfactory.
