Chennai: Air customs seized more than 1,000 grams of gold powder, worth Rs 50 lakh, from a passenger who arrived from Singapore at Chennai airport on Wednesday.
The passenger, Emmanuel Babu, had mixed the gold powder with masala powder and kept the packets in his bag. The seizure was made based on a tip-off.
