Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has launched round-the-clock free medical assistance for travellers.
According to the new service launched in association with the city-based SUT Hospital, the services of a doctor and para-medical team are available at the airport, officials said.
The facility is in addition to the service of a doctor provided by the Union Health Ministry during daytime.
The call-a-doctor facility launched some months ago is also getting good response, officials said. The facility is utilised by airlines whenever a passenger needs immediate medical assistance after landing.
The call-a-doctor facility is offered with the assistance of four leading private hospitals in the city which would send a full-fledged medical team within minutes of request.
