Chennai: In a bid to curb the constantly sliding revenue numbers for cargo handling at the airport, Civil Aviation Secretary Ashok Lavasa asked AAI officials to clear import cargo round the clock.
From July 3 onward, once the cargo has been checked by customs and certified, it will be released even during the night, he said.
He also suggested quality benchmarking assessment of best practices to increase efficiency at the integrated cargo terminal here.
