Mumbai: Though heavy rain in the city delayed flights on Friday, operations were not suspended as visibility at Mumbai airport did not fall below minimum prescribed levels for safe operations.
Arrivals were mainly delayed by an average of 20 minutes. Afternoon arrivals from Goa were delayed by 30-40 minutes. Jet Airways 348 from Lucknow, scheduled for a 3.50pm arrival, landed at 4.22pm; IndiGo's 6E 448 from Srinagar touched down at 5.20pm, instead of 4.55pm; Air India's 672 from Madurai was delayed by an hour and landed at 6.38pm; Spice Jet's 819 Agartala, scheduled to land at 7.15pm and Go Air's 396 from Lucknow scheduled for a 7.45pm landing, were delayed by over 30 minutes.
