Vasco: Dabolim airport police nabbed a Delhi girl, minutes before she could board a flight to Delhi on Friday evening, following a complaint of theft against her.
Dabolim PI Navlesh Desai said that Rajesh Khemka complained that the girl had stolen his jewellery worth 6 lakh.
On Thursday night, after a celebration at a restaurant in Panaji, the accused, taking advantage of the complainant's "state", fled with a gold chain and bracelet worth 6 lakh. Khemka then registered a complaint with the Panaji police.
The police, accompanied by Khemka, arrived at Dabolim airport to find out whether the girl was there. After going through CCTV footage, Khemka identified the girl who was about to enter the Delhi-bound flight.
