Man tries to smuggle in gold using baby trolley

Hyderabad: A passenger tried to smuggle in nearly one kilo of gold in a baby trolley at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here on Friday morning. However, the man who arrived from Sharjah was arrested by the customs officials and the gold seized.

Customs sleuths said Mohammed Kaja Pasha arrived in Air India flight AI 952. He was carrying a baby trolley and he said he had purchased it in UAE for his use. As he professed he did not have any dutiable goods, he was made to undergo the metal detector test along with the trolley. When scanned, officials found gold foils weighing one kilo hidden in the trolley.
