Man held with dozen gold biscuits at IGIA

New Delhi: A flier coming in from Riyadh has been held at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here for allegedly smuggling in a dozen gold biscuits.
CISF sleuths deployed at IGIA acted yesterday after observing the suspicious movements of the accused, who has been identified as N Ahmed of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. As the Central Industrial Security Force officials approached Ahmed, he tried to rush out of the airport but was intercepted, airport officials said.
"Twelve gold biscuits weighing 1.2kg were recovered from Ahmed, who was planning to hand over the packet to someone at the exit gate. "He has now been handed over to customs authorities," said a CISF officer.
