Store executive held for selling SIM card on fake ID at IGIA

New Delhi: CISF authorities today unearthed a racket allegedly selling mobilephone SIM cards to air travellers on forged documents at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here.

The alleged criminal activity was detected by the intelligence wing of the Central Industrial Security Force when an Azamgarh resident A K Yadav arrived from London at the terminal-3 of the airport around 9 AM and reported to the sleuths that his passport has been lost somewhere in the airport area.

Officials said during the course of finding out the possible place where the passport could have been left by Yadav, CISF officials came to know that he visited a mobile company outlet in the arrival area of the terminal for getting a new SIM card.

The CISF personnel on-duty, officials said, were surprised to know that Yadav was given a fresh SIM card upon his landing by the executive of the company showroom based on the passport documents of an Afghan national.
