Aurangabad: Senior police officials and the Aurangabad airport authorities on Monday conducted a marathon meeting at the airport to review security, following alerts from the state and central intelligence agencies for various airports across the country, in view of Independence Day.
Sources said that the alert was received last week, following which the authorities decided to call a high-level meeting of the officials of the concerned departments.
A senior official said that the meeting, attended by the officials from the police department, airport authorities and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), reviewed the entire security setup at the airport. The CISF, which is in charge of the internal and external security of the Aurangabad airport, has been asked to take additional precautionary measures.
