Nagpur: The agreement between the Maharashtra Airport Development Corporation (MADC) and Airports Authority of India (AAI) pertaining to Nagpur airport has been extended, said sources. The decision was reportedly taken during the board meeting of MIHAN India Limited (MIL), a joint venture company of MADC and AAI on Monday.
Five years back, when the operations of Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport were transferred to MIL, the agreement said that MIL was expected to find a private partner to operate the airport by 2014. The agreement to operate and run the airport also covered the staff deputation by AAI at Nagpur and other details of the functioning of the airport.
