Health Department posts doctors at KIA and Mangalore airport

 Bangalore: Along with the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bangalore State Health and Family Welfare Department are taking measures at the Mangalore Airport too to screen passengers coming from Ebola affected areas of Africa at the two airports. The Health Department is taking up these measures in association with the airport authorities.

Officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department had a meeting on Friday to discuss the measures to be taken. Dr Geetha Nyamegowdar, director of Health and Family Welfare Department said: "Starting from Friday one doctor from the health department has been posted at the two airports who will be working in cooperation with the airport health officials in screening passengers at both KIA and Mangalore airport coming from the ebola affected regions."
