One of the back tyres of an Air India flight burst after landing on the wet runway at the Calicut airport in Malappuram district on Saturday morning.
As many as 369 passengers were on board the Jeddah-Kozhikode Air India 962 flight. The incident occurred at the turning pad area of the runway. It was one of the 16 cartwheels attached to the four units of the aircraft.
There was no emergency situation as the landing had taken place normally. The aircraft was fully under the control of the pilot while braking and it was safely parked on the bay.
