Bangalore: Former president of Bangalore Club and prominent businessman Feroze Sattar Sait was grilled by airport police last week after a relative of his was found carrying unlicenced ammunition in his baggage prior to boarding a flight to Mumbai last week.
Roshan Abbas, a relative of Sait, was booked on an IndiGo flight to Mumbai on Thursday (Aug 28). Abbas was going through the security check at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) when security personnel found three bullets in his baggage, causing quite a stir.
Abbas was immediately detained by airport police. On interrogation, he is believed to have told police that the baggage belonged to Feroze and was to be delivered to his wife. "Abbas said the baggage had been delivered to his hotel in Bangalore by Feroze's family and that he was unaware of the contents. He was merely taking it to hand it over to Feroze's wife in Mumbai," a police source said.
