Indore: Aerobridge facility at Devi Ahilya airport Indore became operational with its first test on Friday. About 100 Air India's flight AI636 Delhi-Indore-Mumbai walked from the aircraft to terminal building using the aerobridge.
State government had rushed ahead and fixed a deadline for completing work on aerobridge before inauguration of Global Investors' Meet on October 8.
Officiating airport director Sanjay Agrawal told TOI, "Last night we tested the first aerobridge with Air India's passengers from AI flight. Aerobridge was found technically sound and fit to carry passenger load.
Agrawal said, "On Saturday we carried test of second aerobridge with passengers of Air India flight no AI635 Mumbai-Indore-Delhi making it to the terminal building through the aerobridge."
