Chennai: Chennai: On Friday, the airport police arrested a 28-year-old man for stealing a car from the parking lot of Chennai airport a week ago. The accused, Michael (28), landed in the police net after he was planning a similar attempt at the airport on Friday. Michael was initially picked up when he was seen threatening a vendor on G.S.T. road, near the airport. During investigations, the police found that he was a car thief.
A native of Krishnamalai in Tiruvannamalai district, Michael was arrested by the Villupuram police for his suspected involvement in a double-murder in the district a year ago, the police added.He was let out on bail recently and was staying in Chennai when he got in touch with an acquaintance, Venkatesan (30), who owns and drives a cab.
