CCTVs sought at IGI terminal

New Delhi:  In a security assessment following two intrusions at Delhi airport early this year, CISF has asked DIAL to install security cameras at the cargo terminal. Airport sources said there are no CCTVs installed at the cargo terminal and nothing has changed since two intruders were found there. CISF is reviewing CCTV coverage at the domestic and international terminals to report defunct cameras.

"Security assessment is a continuous process. Security agencies examine threats and vulnerabilities of the area they guard and report on the deficiencies. Currently, the coverage at the cargo terminal is lacking. As it is a sensitive area not under CCTV coverage, the matter has to be dealt with urgently," said an airport source.
