Raipur: Chaos prevailed at Raipur airport on Tuesday evening following the cancellation and subsequent diversion of a Delhi bound Indigo flight to Kolkata, affecting almost 340 passengers. The Indigo flight, which was scheduled to take off for Kolkata at 4.40pm, was cancelled due to a technical snag.
The 170 odd passengers were subsequently accommodated in the Indigo flight scheduled for Delhi at 7.25pm, which was diverted to Kolkata, leaving the Delhi bound passengers stranded at the airport.
According to airline's officials, the aircraft that developed the technical snag would be made operational overnight and would leave for Delhi on Wednesday.
