Margao: Chief minister Manohar Parrikar's statement at an election meeting at Sindhudurg three days ago that the Mopa international airport would help in the progress and development of Sindhudurg, has irked `Goans For Dabolim Only' (GFDO) which said that their fears have come true - that the BJP government is putting the interest of Maharashtra before that of Goa.
"All Goans should now take a reality check on the loyalties of the chief minister, who at a recent election meeting at Kankauli with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, openly and shockingly proclaimed that Mopa airport would specifically cater to the progress of Sindhudurg, bringing with it large scale tourism development for the Maharashtrian Konkan region," said GFDO convener Fr Eremito Rebelo.
