Airport greets Hajjis with updated arrangements

Srinagar: While the government-run hospitals in the City often make patients and visitors shiver waiting for the scheduled date to start centrally heating system by nothing before November 15, the Srinagar International Airport has this year taken a lead by making the terminal building cozy in line with the needs as winter has approached early this year.
A returning Hajji said: “I was worried that it would be cold at the airport but to my surprise it’s so warm while facilities including immigration clearance and availability of additional trolleys has been easy.”
Officials said the return of Hajjis remained a main reason for early start of the centrally heating system. Officials said Airport Director RN Shinde directed his teams to be at the disposal pilgrims returning from Makkah and Madinah so that they don’t face any inconvenience on return to homeland.
