2 aerobridges at Raipur airport

Raipur: : Swami Vivekananda Airport of Raipur got two aerobridges worth Rs 4 crore on Sunday, dedicated by Union minister of state Mahesh Chandra Sharma.

Aerobridges are extendable structures used as sky walk between terminal building and aircraft, preventing passengers from long walk under sun or rain. During the event, Sharma in his address said that tourism ministry was aiming to promote hospitality, infrastructure, security and cleanliness in country which attracts tourism. "We are making efforts to defeat terrorism by promoting tourism. We believe tourism will put an end to terrorism," Sharma said. He further added that ministry was planning to launch projects on occasion of 'Sushasan Diwas' on December 25.

"These (projects and plan) will change the perception of tourists in Chhattisgarh as well. Over safety of foreign tourists, the department will start a toll free number service for the international tourists visiting India, which can be used for round-the-clock assistance," Sharma added.
