Panaji: The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Goa Customs has thwarted a major attempt of gold smuggling at Dabolim International Airport on Tuesday by seizing six kilo grams of gold valued over Rs 1.51 crore on Tuesday.
The gold was found in the rear toilet of the Air India Flight which flies on Dubai-Mumbai-Goa route.
