Imphal: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel Monday detected a small arm loaded with ammunition from the hand baggage of a passenger during security check at Imphal Airport.
The arm (.32 revolver containing five rounds of ammunition) was seized when the hand baggage belonging to one passenger identified as K Shyamsunder Singh, a resident of Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak of Imphal East district was checked at the X-ray point.
The revolver and ammunition were seized and handed over to the Singjamei police station. However, the passenger who was about to travel to Delhi was allowed to broad the flight with reasons known to the police and CISF authority only.
