Indore: The bed-ridden co-pilot Pawandeep Singh Pabla, 25, in his written statement to probe team of Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that deceased pilot Arshad Qureshi had lost the control over aircraft, which might have led to the crash on November 19. The Cessna aircraft of MP Flying Club, Indore, which was on an excursion crashed near the boundary wall of the airport killing 25-year-old Arshad on the spot while seriously injuring co-pilot Pawandeep.
Pawandeep's father Paramjit Singh Pabla, who was with his son at the time of DGCA team's visit, on Tuesday last to probe into the crash. "The DGCA team had waited for Pawandeep's statement to initiate their investigations as he was the only eye witness to the crash. I saw my son writing that he was Arshad's co-pilot, and Arshad suddenly lost the control which might have led to the crash of trainer aircraft," said Paramjit adding that his son was unable to speak as a result he chose to jot down his statement for before the investigation team.
"Pawandeep has suffered multiple injuries owing to the fatal crash. Both his upper and lower jaws have suffered fractures which is why he is unable to talk," said Paramjit.
