Kid with medical condition among those affected by SpiceJet cancellations

Bengaluru: A father who had to take his minor son needing medical intervention for his epilepsy problem to New Delhi, had a harrowing wait at the airport today. ?He was among the many passengers, who had booked tickets with SpiceJet at Karnataka International Airport (KIA).

More than 100 passengers were left stranded outside KIA on Wednesday, with many SpiceJet flights cancelled for the second consecutive day. Unlike Tuesday, passengers were not even issued boarding passes, forcing them to wait outside.

With documents from Sakara Hospital in one hand and his child in the other, Mohit told reporters at the airport that his son had to be shifted to a private hospital in New Delhi. "However, with my SpiceJet flight cancelled and no alternative provided despite my son's condition, I am not sure what to do," he said.
Stating that other flights to New Delhi were beyond his reach financially, Mohit said: "Given my son's condition, we should be given an alternative option."

Another passenger said that he was asked to contact either the airline or the police by a SpiceJet representative at the airport, while Chandrashekar said his flight was postponed three times but "no message saying it has been cancelled has been communicated," leaving him confused.
