Fog affects flights in Delhi

New Delhi: Hundreds of passengers in the national capital were inconvenienced on Sunday, as flight services were hit severely due to fog.

While two flights were cancelled due to prevailing weather conditions, another 70 flights were delayed at the IGIA, said an airport authority official.

Sixty-eight flights were conducted using instrumental landing system.
Delhi had a respite from the intense cold, but most northern states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir continued to reel under chilly conditions on Sunday.

In Delhi, early morning fog had brought down visibility levels to below fifty metres, affecting 100 flights and about 60 trains, causing great inconvenience to hundreds of passengers. While two flights were cancelled, another 70 were delayed at the IGIA, said an airport authority official. Sixty-eight flights were conducted using instrumental landing system.
