Jaipur: It was not a high alert situation, but there was commotion at Jaipur Airport on Saturday afternoon. The reason: A stray dog went berserk at the airport's exit/entrance porch.
Around 2 pm, a dog attacked a few passengers while they were coming out. Scared, people ran helter, skelter and also the CISF personnel were on their toes. "The dog bit one person and raced up and down the porch covering at least 200 metres," said a witness who had gone to drop his relatives.
"The dog managed to flee from the scene despite the fact that JMC's vehicle and staff had come to catch the beast," said S N Borkar, director, Airport Authority of India (AAI), Jaipur.
The victim was first rushed to the airport's dispensary and later he went to the hospital on his own for medication.Till 3.30pm, the situation was palpable as all efforts to catch the dog failed to evoke any result.
